President's Message

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."

- Vincent Van Gogh

Over the past weekend, I visited the Orlando Wetlands Park located off of Wheeler Road in Christmas for the very first time.  For anyone who loves to capture true natural Florida, this is the place to be!  From the soaring bald eagles, to the pink roseate spoonbills sifting through the water, to the huge alligators lounging less than 20 feet away from you (without any barriers), it is certainly a place to be one with nature.  It is definitely my most favorite spot in our area so far to photograph.  I even returned the next day to cover more ground with a bicycle.

Do you have a favorite photography spot that you would like to write about for our newsletter?   Let us know!  We would love to hear from you.

Hope to see you soon!  Vallie

Meeting - April 2

Low Light Photography
by Erin Monroe
&
Volunteer Photographs & Zenfolio
by Frederic K

 Monday, April 2
7:00 - 9:00 pm

Are you afraid of the dark? Do you find yourself passing on photographing events or interesting subjects due to less then stellar lighting conditions? Join us in April for a presentation on low light photography. Come learn how member Erin Monroe shoots in low lighting conditions. This presentation will focus on using available light to achieve artful imagery.

Frederic K will then tell us the who, what and why to photograph at events.  He will also demonstrate how to upload, edit the photo details such as copyright information and move photos to Event Galleries on Zenfolio.

Please RSVP with the number of photos you are bringing.
